Is it possible to have a multilanguage GUI?

Where can I find the file that cotains strings to localize?

One time that I have the language file translated how can test it in place?

for the *.ts files, if the right one for your language is not there you can create one with qt or ask me to make one for you

I propose you to add in main page the info how to add a new translation.
It will help translator to localzie your program.

Please take care the de/pl .ts file ha a error about duplicated context

I will work on Italian tranbslation (51 strings translted on 1871 total strings).

One time that I have .ts/qm file how can test new translation?
Where should copy the .qm file to see ne language in GUI

• Installer

About the installer can I help you to localize the installer to add other language?
Which is the installer script file?

Please check that seems that en/it/de/pl language file seems not aligned.

Please run command lupdate to update .ts file using same source file.

Please consider if you can not add source lines in language files to avoid changes of language fil also if it's really don't change strings (but only referring in source code).

Company name that you installer should see in exe file properties
Starting year of your copyright about this software? (ex. 2011)
The copyright message is (c) xxxx-yyyy zzzzzzz
xxxx - starting year of copyright (2019?)
yyyy - ending (currenT) year for copyright (2025)
zzzz - Company name (DavidXanatos)

if you can use "lupdate -no-ui-lines -no-obsolete"
-no-ui-lines = no refernce to source lines
-no-obsolete = not include obsolete strings

the ui does not load qm files right now will add it to 1.6.1 asap, just need to copy the code from sandman.exe

Did you apply lupdate to all language file (en/DE/IT/PL/ZH_CN)?

EN/DE/PL/IT language files contains source references
ZH_CN language file not include source references.

EN/DE/PL language fiels are aligned as string order as English master
IT language file seems not aligned as string order as English master

EN/DE/IT/PL files have 2132 strings
ZH_CN file has 2146 strings (+14 strings).

The additional 14 strings availble in ZH_CN and not in EN/DE/PL/IT files.

In language file seems there not sueful parts like "oldsource" line

bte while loading qm files form the translattion 7z,
it loads them from a folder if manually unpacked
[Application dir]\translations\taskexplorer_*
for testing good enough

yea i run lupdate on the pro file, zh_cn was added afterwards may be the lupdate command did not work as intended

the command to use is

lupdate -pro TaskExplorer.qc.pro -no-obsolete -no-ui-lines -locations none

The you get these files (I purged oldsource strings not necessary and code xd)
TaskExplorer-R02.zip
I made a new PR with these language fles prged and updated (all fiels have 2136 strings).

Please check if you can set lupdate parameters with lupdateOptions="" in source code

ex. lupdateOptions="-no-obsolete -no-ui-lines -locations none"
