Why?

Manifest V3 gives one access to new features and more streamlined communication between background and content scripts.

Dependencies:

  • Parcel's Web Extension Plugin
    Since this project uses Parcel and it's web extension plugin to create the addon we are dependent on the Parcel team adding support for MV3 first. ( issue#6079, pull#7050 )

  • Firefox
    Ideally the Projectize addon is meant to support both Chromium based browsers and Firefox and it's derivatives. Therefore the migration to MV3 should probably wait until Mozilla has added official support for it as well. ( blog posts )
