Date value parsed in wrong format "DD/MM/YYYY" but I am getting while reading M/D/YY

for Eaxmple :-

02/08/2018

but after reading i am getting 2/8/18

It seems this module will parse data cells into strings of the format M/D/YY. Shouldn't it parse it into a Date object?
