The graphical editor is only updated if the mouse moves inside it or something is selected.

Could you be a bit more explanatory? In which situation is the graphical editor not updated?

When your mouse is in another widget then the graphical editor e.g. the "Debug Console" window.

No, I mean what exactly is not updated? What do you do that is not shown in the graphical editor? Something reproducible...

Ahh ok :-) ... the currently active state is not highlighted
