Can't deploy to original anvil

I've been trying to fix thing whole day. I'm currently on the foundry 101 course the FundMe section. I am trying to deploy the DeployFundMe script to anvil but it's been mining for 1 hour. It mined like 400+ block for it. I tried to restart anvil, it didn't work. Another thing is that when I am deploying it, it goes to anvil-hardhat but I want to the original one. How can I fix that?

Hello @alekszlat, Did you install anvil-hardhat, or how does your transaction go to anvil-hardhat and not Anvil?

Well I can only say that I've install hardhat config but I am pretty sure I've deleted it. I don't see any other hardhat directories or files that contain hardhat. Maybe if you know a command that I can see all my downloaded configs or something of this sort.

Hardhat? As @EngrPips pointed out You need foundry to use anvil.

So if you run anvil in your terminal, what do you get?

I am unsure where you get anvil-hardhat from but get rid of it and then run forge clean and then delete your cache folder if you have any, also run foundryup then retry your process.

This doesn't make sense at all to me... It should take < 100ms. Please share your code and also your bash command with us

This is the contract I am trying to deploy. I start with running anvil with using "anvil" command to run the local network. I get the url and private key of the created accounts. I deploy the contract in a separate terminal with the command "forge script script/DeployFundMe.s.sol --rpc-url <anvil_url> --private-key <PRIVATE_KEY> --broadcast". The scripts runs successfully but when I am about to get the receipt of the tx it mines for hours and deploys on anvil-hardhat. Don't know if the anvil-hardhat is the problem but that's just everybody's been telling me in the discord serve that it should deploy on just anvil not anvil-hardhat

Follow the steps below :
clean the project update the Foundry :

forge clean
rm -rf cache
foundryup

uninstall hardhat and check anvil version:

npm list -g --depth=0
npm uninstall -g hardhat
anvil --version

I did all that. I got anvil's version "anvil 0.3.0 (6f81e76 2025-01-12T00:24:43.977802576Z)" but it still deploys to anvil-hardhat and still mines long. Maybe that's not the problem because I watched closely Patrick when he deployed on the local chain, and it said anvil-hardhat. Maybe the problem is somewhere else but I can't seem to find it.

You mean Patrick also deployed to anvil-hardhat?

Well, when you look at his log messages when the transaction has been successfully mined you can see anvil-hardhat. You can see it if you want it's in Foundry fundamentals/section 2/video 19/ around the 8:30 minute.
