used the calculator, megatherium with 1343 weight. calculator said can leave it at 4.9% with raw meat. I left it at 5.5% and it starved

(A bit delayed...)
Is that a regular issue? If not, it might have just been a quirk where the baby didn't eat for some reason (occasionally happens despite food being in their inventory, even ones with higher food stats).

it happed 3 times, i left them at 4.9 5.1 and 5.5 they starved each time, broods of 9 so not just food bug on one.. ive started leaving them at like 6% now because i never know if they will starve

might be worth noting they used to be fine left at 5.1 and it seemed after the tlc 1 patch it changed and they just starve

That's a bit odd. If I remember when I'm home from my trip I'll check if any dev kit values have changed for them (though the dev kit updates lag behind live updates by a bit, but if the new models are applied it should be up to date). It could also be something related to being in/out of render (I think they made babies the same always whereas normal dinos eat less out of render, but maybe recent patches changed that).

When some of the brood died, were their food, weight, or hp values different from each other? Trying to think of other possible ideas for the source.

Finally got a chance to look into this a bit, did some empirical tested in SP while the dev kit is updating, food rate seems correct for 0% and 5% megatherium babies.
