I was trying to get this image stood up and :latest was pulling 8, which apparently had problems with the unforked httpd and php-fpm. Pinning to centos7 (and also adding the php-xml package) seemed to fix the problem for me.

Hi,

Actually, the latest refers to CentOS 8 now ... and the image seems not to be working with CentOS 8 as it is.

I had already noticed this issue, but with the V2, this is not a problem anymore. Nevertheless, you are right, we can patch the V1. Now I know image tag should always set on a precise version.
