The ReadMe and other markdown files in the repository have not been updated in a long time. Thus, with tools like MarkdownLint there were several issues being reported when editing them.

  • Using MarkdownLint or similar tools, fix and format the markdown files
  • Replace GitHub emoji identifiers (aka :emoji_id:) with actual emoji symbols

Please do suggest if there any other changes to be made to those files.
