The "amount made" number should be more visible while in the crafting menu.

The amount of items crafted is hidden among the area where you would normally expect to see the item's stats, and can be easily missed.

Move it to the selection menu, where it can be easily seen. (Proof of concept below)

Additionally, recipes that use result_mult don't display that information anywhere, so it can be incredibly confusing.

Example: Sourdough starter has two recipes but there's no clue that the bottom recipe freshly fed sourdough starter actually yields two of the product; unlike the example given above by the OP. I thought that was an oversight and a weirdly circular recipe until I reviewed the recipe JSON.
