It keeps pausing

About once a minute it pauses with a pop-up that says "Pause" and "Resume after" and a countdown of about 25-30 seconds. If you press "OK" it resumes right away, but, if you don't, it never does. After the countdown finishes, the pop-up disappears, but the encoding process does not resume.

I'm using the Ubuntu version 3.5.5 from the latest release post.
My OS is Linux Mint 21.3.

I'm not sure this version is being maintained - the developer is/was in Ukraine, I think. I have a fork that I'm working on as time permits, but I currently don't create packages.
