Issue summary

Due to this bug docker/compose#6975 we are considering a switch to podman* technology.

Some challenges one may encounter:

  • watchtower does not support podman (but it has its update mechanism) [Feature Request] Support for Podman containrrr/watchtower#1060,
  • spawning containers from within containers should work, but I have never done it myself, so it may not work out of the box,
  • Ruby docker API may not be happy with it (using aliases by installing dnf install podman-docker should fix it, hopefully).
