I noticed this app has not been updated for about 10 months.

Is there any hope this will be updated anytime?

There are some issues that should be addressed in a newer mobile app, I think.

As a workaround we can use the web app on our mobile phones.
But I am not sure this is a complete replacement.

• no home screen widget
• no notifications
• no offline modus

I wish someone would pick this project up and keep it going. It blows every other note app out of the water from a UI standpoint. It's nearly identical to Google keep. Simple but still allows photo uploads.

Up until NextCloud 28, the support for a self-run server was being kept on basic life support.

Unfortunately it is broken on NextCloud 28. A partial workaround has been found (thanks to @joshua-schnabel , see: CarnetApp/CarnetNextcloud#214) but no reply or fix from the devs.

Don't take this the wrong way--I have a lot of respect for the devs running projects like this. A big thank you to those who have gotten Carnet this far! It's an involved and thankless job. And on top of that, life happens. But at this point, it is starting to look a little like abanbonware,

The dev will respond at some point. He's busy with other projects, but I didn't get the impression he's done with Carnet. He wanted to resume a large refresh of this app soon... i wouldn't be surprised if he releases one soon.
