Deploying new instance to AWS. Things to do:

  • Create new user for grow
  • Create new postrgres instance using AWS RDS
  • Deploy app using elastic beanstalk
  • Serve static pages using nginx
  • Connect to DB
  • Manage env variables
  • Facebook setup
  • Make it all work
  • Get SSL certificate
  • Transfer domain, change BASE_URL env variable, check FB app working

Issues to fix:

  • web sockets handshake error
  • fonts not loading

note: need to make new load balancer (application load balancer) and then add the grow-env instance to the new load balancer via the ec2 console

App is live on AWS grow-env.ksmypvmnvi.eu-west-2.elasticbeanstalk.com

Still need to transfer domain name, get SSL certificate etc.
