The paper about DOTA states that they "provide the spatial resolution for each image in our dataset, which implies the actual size of an instance" – however, I have been unable to find the information about image resolution. Neither is it included in the json files, nor can the resolution be accessed through rasterio's Affine module (NotGeoreferenceWarning: Dataset has no geotransfrom, gcps, or rpcs. The identity matrix be returned.)
I'd be happy hearing from someone having had the same issue and solved it.

In the previous version, the first two lines include the GSD information of an image. For the new DOTA-v2 version, we provide an extra meta file (see meta data (https://captain-whu.github.io/DOTA/dataset.html)).
