On startup, a transparent box with shadows appears in the top left corner of the desktop.
When opening the app menu or using the search in settings, a similar transparent (or sometimes blurred) box appears, blocking half of the menu.

A fully usable menu.
The problem persists after resetting to defaults with budgie-panel --reset --replace &!, as in the readme.
budgie-panel --reset --replace &!
It might be a LightDM problem, since I haven't tested with other DM's yet. No other WM/DE has this issue.
