Maybe I don't understand well, but how can the function run at compile time call a function that uses the compile-time generated table?
On this line:
<< it = real_linear_to_srgb(cast(float)it_index / SRGB_TABLE_SIZE)
The C code does something completely different and it certainly doesn't call real_linear_to_srgb().
