Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure, Linux) in a Big 4 company - Remote, B2B contract

I have an interesting career opportunity - the Senior DevOps Engineer will be part of global projects in a sexy big 4 (US HQ) brand.

For a well established Big 4 APPDEV team we are looking for experienced DevOps engineers.
The APPDEV team closely cooperates with the company's Digital organisation that focuses on
incubating and development of digital products.
Currently it encompases over 30 product and development teams distributed across the globe - the
main locations being US, Czechia, Spain, India and China.
The main focus for this role is to solve and support DevOps and infrastructure development tasks
during the development of the products as well as supporting the operations of the products. The
company typically deploys DevOps/Infra engineers as part of their development team.
Responsibilities:
• Azure and on-premise infrastructure management
• Design and maintain standard CI/CD processes to deliver microservices-based applications
• Analysis and integration of modern technologies as opportunities to improve
• Instilling DevOps culture within the engineering function
• Working in agile and cross-functional teams Requirements:
Core technologies the Company use (you’ll need some prior experience with): Kubernetes,
Docker, Azure
• Other technologies: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, RabbitMQ, Kafka, maven, JFrog Artifactory,
Elastic, Kibana, Tomcat, Kerberos, AKS, Hashi Vault and Terraform
• Experience with Apache Spark, Snowflake or other “big data” technologies is a plus
• Strong programming background in Java, Python is a plus as well
• Good Linux system administrator skills and TCP/IP network fundamentals
• Knowledge on software architectures based on microservices (autoscaling, service discovery,
etc..)
• Excellent understanding of SDLC processes, release strategies, software development at
scale, Continuous Integration and Delivery approaches for cloud-native applications
• Experience with SQL databases
• Source control – git, svn
• English – good written and verbal as the work is with international teams on daily basis

US Hours overlap needed (2-6pm CET)?: Yes
