Run azd version and copy and paste the output here:

azd version 1.11.0 (commit 5b92e0687e1fa96dfc8292f4b900c0c58610b6a5)

Describe the bug
Description of issue you're seeing...

  • It's not a bug but feature suggestion.
  • I love the idea of using AVM and I believe this is the appropriate direction for us.
  • However, to give more options to developers, can we add an option like --use-avm with the default value of true to azd init?
  • With this option, devs can explicitly opt-out to have the physical bicep modules instead of referencing AVM.

Additional context
Add any other context about the problem here.

  • If this option is available, developers can take a deeper look at the modules and customise them to their organisation's situation.

Just wondering, does it make sense to direct this feedback to the AVM team? I think AVM was positioned to support these scenarios as well.

@weikanglim I'm not sure. As long as they have an answer or at least a direction, it should be fine.
