Unable to move lessons between modules in the course outline block #3743
Comments
Doesn't look like this can be controlled, the blocks can only be moved with the arrows within the list of blocks in the current level (the module inner blocks). It does work with drag&drop. There is an issue & discussion in Gutenberg to allow this: WordPress/gutenberg#24328 |
@donnapep @yscik crashing this GH issue to see if the issue the user found on this ticket is big or if it's related to this one. The user can't move a lesson inside a module unless they created a new one within the module: Happy to create a new bug report if that's the case! |
@StefMattana It doesn't seem as though the linked video is showing the problem you've described, so I'm a bit confused. 🙁 |
Looks like the video is gone 😭 the ticket is closed so I'll circle back if the user contacts us again with the same issue. |
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe
When there are multiple modules each with multiple lessons in the course outline block, it is not possible to move lessons between modules via the reordering function in the toolbar.
If the lesson is already the first lesson in the module, the up arrow is disabled, even if there is a module before it.
Similarly, if the lesson is the last lesson in the module, the down arrow is disabled, even if there is a module after it.
Describe the solution you'd like
When reordering lessons inside a module block, it should be possible to move the lesson to a previous or subsequent module.
