Let's start with a list of "stuff" that already exists.
Please add a comment with what you know, and links to further information - and we can collect and collate from there.

Adding a comment on github may not be something you feel you can do, or feel comfortable doing, so I will follow up with alternative ways for you to share your knowledge and experience.

Great stuff @kattekrab - given our mutual interests in developing Crisis.App, the repo for that is at [https://github.com/CrisisRelief/crisisapp-marketplace] and we'd welcome supporters for that work. Slack community has become a bit too dormant, but the need has not gone away. As mentioned, I'm beavering away on [https://www.laughingmind.com/osfm8] as a Disinformation countermeasure for injecting real science into social media interactions, working with the global research team at [https://www.coronawhy.org]

There's also this: [https://au.reset.tech] - worth checking out.

Thank you @BrianHHill !

I've just renamed the thread from GOV to CIVIC - because we're not solely focussed on government related stuff.

Crisis.app and osfm8 are great examples!

Good. Civic initiatives will often outpace Govt, but struggle to scale. There needs to be consideration given to how Govt can auspice and anchor those efforts to assist in transition during scaling, rather than replicating in parallel.

I'm not sure if this fits but this is an interesting collection of sites and projects:

Alyssa Rosenzweig created a Linux implementation of the Google/Apple covid tracing foo, with (along the way) a number of insights and observations. For instance, a "wrong" AES algo is used.

Anyway, the good bit is that there is a free&open implementation that runs on Linux.

Just saw this excellent project providing a usable interface for parliamentary Interests, Expenses and Salaries records:
https://icacpls.github.io/index.html

a system described as "so badly designed it has to be intentional"
