I had captured an android that was being remotely controlled after a raid. While the android was in jail, there was a solar flare. The now uncontrolled surrogate collapsed, and was rescued by my colonist as if the android was a member of my colony. When the solar flare ended, the android reconnected to its original pawn, but was now a member of my colony.

The end result is an android that is being controlled by an unknown pawn off map, but is considered a part of my colony, which is just strange. It has the indicator that it is being remotely controlled, but is in all ways treated as my pawn.
