I bought the book. I have tried to install the package on my computer. "pipenv install --dev", “pipenv install --ignore-pipfile”, “pipenv install --skip-lock” etc cannot install the virtual environment. Can you please try it on a different computer, verify that it installs and post the steps here? Thanks.

The source code would not work for you. First of all there are incomplete some important files and secondly the code has a lot of mistakes.

@aadurham what is your OS? Because I'm running the project on MacOS without problem.
