It would be great if there is any functionality to add events to the google calender specially for people using android devices as google calender can sync on every device i.e mobile devices, tablets etc. (considering option of iCalender is already given that can help ios users), hence a better track of confrences can be taken place.

Google Calendar can import iCalendar files, but is there a better mechanism for adding events to Google Calendar?

I don't particularly like that the iCalendar file contains all of the events. Particularly, I'd like to add only the conferences that I intend to visit. I don't need a bulking feature though. Selecting them one by one would be enough.

We could create a hyperlink with data in the params of the url for Google Calendar to prefill the event's info.

I took a stab at adding that hyperlink in a fork of this project: https://thatfiredev.github.io/conferences/ (click on the conference date to add to Calendar)
