Disable Pi LED's

Testing Camera last night out of enclosure. LED's are very bright. Internet search brought up this:
Not being a coder, I don't want to break anything! is this acceptable with the Allsky setup or its there a correct way otherwise.

Allsky doesn't care if the LEDs are on or off. The method you describe is what other people use.

No, the instructions above relate to an older version of the Pi operating system.

Since then, the config.txt file has moved to a new location: /boot/firmware/config.txt
...and the additional text should now look like this:-

#Put that light Out!!!
dtparam=pwr_led_trigger=default-on
dtparam=pwr_led_activelow=off
dtparam=act_led_trigger=none
dtparam=act_led_activelow=off

I normally do this kind of edit by removing the Pi sd card and inserting into my laptop, then:-
rename /boot/firmware/config.txt to config.old
edit this file then save as: /boot/firmware/config.txt

So now you have a copy of the original file and the modified new file.

I've inserted the new text just after:-

#Enable audio (loads snd_bcm2835)
dtparam=audio=on

#Put that light Out!!!
dtparam=pwr_led_trigger=default-on
dtparam=pwr_led_activelow=off
dtparam=act_led_trigger=none
dtparam=act_led_activelow=off
