I'm getting this view a lot and it causes confusion every time

image

Steps to Reproduce:

Assuming I got an element with nested Elements.

I change an Essence of the Nested Element and dont save them.
I change an Essence of the Parent Element and save the changes.

I understand that Alchemy saves each Essence independently but being confronted with a "you have unsaved changes" after just having saved the parent element causes a lot of confusion for me.

One way could be to save nested elements when I save the parent element.
A more global approach could be to provide a "save everything and continue with publish" option

I agree. Saving parents should also save the children. A save-all-on-publish is also a nice idea. All of that will become much easier with the changes proposed in #2061
