Get drainage system for the UASB reactor up and running. Figure out tubing sizes for drainage. Get system hooked up to wastewater supply so we can put effluent water back into the wastewater plant for treatment.
Hook up biogas capture to reactor (NO flexible tubing)
Figure out how to measure the amount of biogas coming from reactor (i.e. figure out how to use wet test meter?)
Figure out how to test quality of effluent wastewater coming out of the UASB
Once all of this done, we can populate reactor with sludge granules and get wastewater running through the reactor.
Things that can also be done...
Reassemble + fix white UASB reactor and get that set up at the IAWWTF
Order stronger parts for tipping bucket to the prevent screws from breaking from sheer
Look into less expensive parts for future reactors (Ed Gottlieb noted a few things, e.g. the bolts for the flanges, are stronger than necessary and we could get away with something weaker and therefore less expensive).
Our abstract for the NEGSWS confrence was also accepted, so we need to make a poster for that before September 7th.
