ArcGIS Pro allows navigation to the band level when selecting input raster datasets. Because the input requires the raster dataset, not just the single band, if you enter that as the input there will be an error. This is not an issue in ArcMap, because you cannot navigate to the band level when selecting the input raster.
This could be dealt with by a number of approaches (potentially):
Change the parameter filters (if possible) to designate that it must be the whole raster
Amend the documentation (parameter tips in the XML for all tools with a raster input parameter) to clarify that you can't drill down as far as the band for the input
Make the error message returned by the incorrect parameter input more informative (not sure where that happens in the .pyt code, or if it's possible to change that)

I have added in hints to the xml files for all the parameters that require a raster input, advising ArcGIS Pro users that they cannot use Band_1 as an input.
It would still be good to check to see if there is a way to not allow selection of a specific band for the input.
