The bulleted lists in the asf_tools.water_map.make_water_map docstring render poorly, smooshing the bullets into the paragraph:

The bulleted lists affected:

Similarly, true for asf_tools.flood_map.make_water_map, but this time they are being interpreted as italics markers:
