I'm a long-time paying user of Niagara Launcher and I absolutely love its clean design and smooth performance. Thank you for creating such a fantastic launcher.
I'm writing to request consideration for optimization for E Ink devices. There's a growing community of users on platforms like Reddit who use Android-based E Ink devices and find Niagara Launcher a significant improvement over stock launchers.
However, some issues remain, primarily due to the slower refresh rates of E Ink displays. The animations, while beautiful on regular screens, can cause ghosting and other visual artifacts on E Ink. I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider implementing a dedicated "E Ink Mode" that disables or reduces animations.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,

Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly, at this point in time, the amount of users who are using Android-based e-ink devices is still very low. Removing animations everywhere in the launcher would be a lot of work and would result in a lot of development effort for future features as well. This is why we will keep this issue open and maybe revisit it in the future, but we do not plan on adding support for this in the near future.
If we detect more users using those kinds of devices or this issue gains traction, we could change our mind.
