Edit prefix

For several months I didn't realize that matterbridge also forwards edits to IRC as new messages until someone else pointed it out. see the edit suffix message, but wondering about either an edit prefix or nick format where I can put something like "edited" before the nickname. This would make it much clearer on IRC that the message was an edit of some previous message, and would avoid "spoofing" an edit so to speak.
