Error message during firmware installation

Hi, I bought my device 2 weeks ago. And now version 1.0.19ww is installed on it. I copied the file FORCEUPD.txt and FW_DR2800.bin to the SD card, turned off the camera, put the memory in the device and turned on the device, it went to the firmware installation mode and said to wait for the installation to finish. At the end, an error message appeared which said that the firmware installation was not successful and then the device was restarted. I checked inside the device, it shows the same firmware as 1.0.19ww and I don't know if the installation was successful or if it was not installed at all. Can you please advise?

OK, I figured this out. But after installing the firmware, the device did not recognize the hardware kit. What is wrong?

Hi, same situation here!
I was running custom firmware for some time, then I noticed that Parking mode with hardware kit is not working properly. After checking hardware kit(which was OK) I tried reinstalling firmware to OTA -> passed -> then I tried OTA firmware with hardware kit -> was working properly, but parking mode still broken... When I tried istalling again custom firware 50 MBIT well... firmware couldnt be updated. So now I am stuck with OTA...
@350d do you have some older firmware like 1.15 available so I can try install older => then install stock one from Mobile App => try again install custom?

After going back do 1.0.14ww I was able to install 50MBIT 1.0.19 again :) Script instalation works. Everything is operating normally.
I would guess that struggles begin when you are trying to update same software version. Thank you a lot @350d

Is Parking mode with hardware kit working properly now?

Hi, I still did not debug parking mode and I cannot blaime firmware for that. I remember that it should start recording when I push the car (in neutral). When I do this now (w/ custom firmware), mode is not triggered. But when I will tap with fingers several times on camera, parking mode goes on. Which is strange to me.

I did check wiring and also camera says that hardware kit was detected. I can try stock firmware if everything is behaving same or not. But anyway... Xiaomi´s cameras startup time is 13 seconds... in that time anyone who did anything to the car can be left from the scene already. So personally I realy dont care about parking mode and always leaving car somewhere infront of security cameras etc..
