There is a new WordPress version that the plugin hasn't been tested with. Please test it and then change the "Tested up to" field in the plugin readme.

Tested up to: 6.3
Latest version: 6.4

This issue will be closed automatically when the versions match.

QA update ❌

I am getting issues when Installing simple-local-avatars extension. the existing avatar or newly uploaded avatar getting 404.

Also, I have cross checked with WordPress 6.3.2 It's working as expected there, but getting issues in WordPress: 6.4-RC2

Test steps:

  1. Goto wp-admin > Setting > Discussion
  2. update the avatar or keep it as it is.
  3. Install and activate the simple-local-avatars extension.
  4. Refresh the page wp-admin > Setting > Discussion

For more details please check the attached video.

@qasumitbagthariya thanks for the report.

I did follow your instructions and the avatar image does not break for me. One thing I noticed is that if the image is removed from the site after the avatar is set, the image break issue appears (obviously). Can you please check again if this is not the case while you were testing?
